Randy, are you okay?

Hey, Randy, I hope you're alright. Was it just time to move on to other endeavors?

What they said.

My first reaction was that you are putting the blog on ice. If so, I hope to see you now and again at the Althouse and the alt-Althouse, otherwise known as Amba's joint.

Overture. Curtain, lights! This is it. We'll hit the heights...

...this is it???

I didn't mean to alarm anyone. Was trying to tweak the blog template late Friday night, mainly because YouTube videos don't fit unless I manually size them every time. One of the alternatives I was trying deleted all the column #2 stuff. No big deal as long as I didn't hit "SAVE." Naturally, I hit SAVE and almost everything was lost. After that, it went from bad to worse, so I hung up the "That's All Folks" sign I was planning to use for a post about the GOP primaries, and figured I'd work on putting Humpty-Dumpty back together again when I returned home from a trip on Tuesday. I'm home early because I woke up with a cold or something this morning.

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it ;-)

P.S. Michael: I think you already know this (but just in case), my "Not worth the bandwidth" comment over at Ambivalog on Friday comment was not a response to yours but to realpc's. (I didn't know where to begin and wasn't sure I'd stop once started).

Peter: Maybe its me, but Althouse seems like a complete zoo most of the time and it just isn't worth wading through all the crap to find the worthwhile, so the odds are you'll find me at Amba's or Michael's.

Randy, it's not you. The Althouse comments threads have been too much to follow. Most of the back-and-forth is between the extremists. And the goofball troll, Maxine.

Randy:
It's funny now, but some of us were thinking you'd just gotten a terminal diagnosis or something. Which, by the way, we'd want you to blog, God forbid.

Michael, *LOL* I got that diagnosis about 20 years ago but I don't talk much about it. Survivor's guilt, perhaps.
