The outstanding folks at Political Calculations created the graph above. What it means and shows can be found here. Keeping things like this in mind is a good idea this election year. They have many other fascinating simple graphs and clear explanations, like this one comparing current and historical tax rates that are real eye-openers, I think (BWDIK?).
